Area Contest 2020 Hello everyone, this is Y.T, President of Visionaries TMC. We had the Area Contest yesterday. Our contestants were me  for English contest and another Y.T for Japanese contest. And the result was... we both won the third position! It was a very high quality contest as all speakers made great speeches. Although I was in a third place, I'm really satisfied with it. Minutes We didn't have any guests in the yesterday's meeting. Although we'd like to have many guests, a meeting without any guests makes us relaxed. In the Table Topic Session, K.M asked questions about Tokyo Olympics, Corona virus , and Global warming. All questions were very timely and close to us. The Area Contest is a contest which around 5 clubs compete with each other on speeches. The winner can have a chance to participate in the International Contest. Minutes I'm sorry for my late update... Last weeks' meeting were full of guests, we got 4 guests! I hope we welcomed the guests with warm and friendly atmosphere. The more the atmosphere gets warm, the happier we get. Who runs a club? The main place of Toastmasters activities is each club. There are 16,800 clubs in total around the world and about 200 clubs in Japan. Then, who runs the clubs? COT and TLI 2020 Hello everyone, this is Y.T, President of Visionaries TMC. Yesterday, 19th Jan, I attended COT and TLI in Odaiba. COT stands for Club Officers Training. It is an annual event where club officers gather and discuss varieties of issues. Usually it is held by each Division, but this time, it was held with several Divisions together. The main topic was "How to increase memebers". Each club shared its own solutions. Every club is struggling with this issue.
