TM S. opened the meeting as our Toastmaster of the Evening, welcoming four enthusiastic guests who joined us to experience the Toastmasters journey firsthand. Members shared diverse recent experiences – from European family adventures spanning six cities in 18 days to local explorations of Hiroshima’s iconic Miyajima shrine. One particularly interesting update came from TM M., who recently earned certification as a professional Santa performer through the Worldwide Santa Claus Network, demonstrating the diverse passions within our membership community.

TM K. delivered a compelling personal narrative about encountering a suspicious self-development seminar invitation. His storytelling captivated the audience as he described being contacted by an acquaintance and eventually finding himself “surrounded” in a Zoom breakout room with aggressive promoters. The speech’s power lay in his confident response when asked if he was satisfied with who he was – a resounding “Yes, I am!” He shared three valuable lessons: matching communication pace to your audience, focusing on positive aspects of yourself, and recognizing hidden motives behind sweet invitations. His excellent use of vocal variety and body language brought the story to life.

2nd Speaker: “Sky, Rain, Umbrella” – TM T.

TM T. introduced an elegantly simple yet powerful problem-solving framework from his consulting work.
